This is OTONOSAMA from our Hinamatsuri collection recently showcased at Japan Creative Centre in Singapore. Hinamatsuri, also known as Girl’s Day or Doll’s day in Japan, is celebrated on the 3rd of March. Hina-dolls are displayed on platforms to wish for the good health and well-being of girls in the family. Here's our interpretation of the traditional dolls and their stories. We hope you like it!
OTONOSAMA represents the Emperor at the imperial palace. He sits on the first platform together with OHIMESAMA. He is a confident and pragmatic leader who is well-respected. He may look young but do not underestimate his ability to rule.
